Step 1 – Do the necessary changes to stop the Spam process
- Sing in into your email address
- Go to Options (Located in the top right of the email address), after words click in More Options
- In the section Manage your Account select Account details (Password, aliases, time zone)
- Re-enter your password
- In the section Account Security, click in both options one at it time to:
o Change your password (use numbers, symbols, letters)
o Security Info (to add security questions)
Note –Make sure to copy down either on your PC or another email address the new password and security questions information in case you need to use them later (if you forget).
- Mark all suspicious emails as Spam especially those that aren´t part of your contact list
Step 2 – Contact Hotmail Support to remove the band
- After you have done all of the above and verify that your email address is no longer sending Spam to other emails in your contact list, you can continue and apply to Hotmail Microsoft to remove the block.
- To being the process, follow the link:
- Fill out the form, make sure to give as much detail as possible, this will help Microsoft to determine that your account isn´t malicious
- When you are all done and have sent the form, it will take 2 or 3 business days for Microsoft to reply with a decision.
- If the decision is in favor, you will receive an email from Windows Live Hotmail Sender Support Team indicating that the process of fixing has begun; this process takes approximately 24-48 hours.
