Windows Installer –


Why would you check Windows Installer?
There are few reasons why would you have to verify this option inside the Windows Services list. One of the most common reasons would be (Unable to install an Application) or (Unable to install Microsoft Security Essentials).
How to activate Windows Installer Service?


Step 1 – Click the star button
-          Follow up by writing the following in the Search box,  (White space at the bottom of the Start menu)
-          Type: services
-          At the top of the Start menu you will be able to see a new option on display (Services) press Click on it with the mouse or just press Enter
-          You will get a brand new Windows (This Window shows all the services that are active behind the scenes), click the list, follow up by press the key W
-          Now you will be able to see all the services that start with W, please find Windows Installer, and follow up by double clicking the Services.
-          A new window will display the current Status of the services
-          Verify:
o   Type of start – Manual
o   Services Status – Active
-          If the options are different from the ones above please change them, and restart the PC
-          If everything is the same there shouldn't´t be any problems






Removal Process

tep 1 – Restart the machine in Safe Mode
-          Start/Re-Start the PC; during this process of starting up, press the F8 key several times until you reach the special menu (Advance Boot Options); in this menu please select the option Safe mode with Network (To select this option you have to use the arrow keys Up and Down) after selecting the correct  option press Enter

Step 2 – Verify that the PC is not part of a Domain (The firewall of the domain will stop important process)
Step 3 –Deactivate/Uninstall the current Anti-Virus
-          Run one of the following tools in order to uninstall your Anti-Virus. The links below contains different the tools and steps in how to remove this security tools
