Windows 8 Upgrade –

Frist above all, before you decided to start the Upgrade process make sure you have a backup of your information. The process of Upgrade follows a procedure that has a backup system call Windows. Old but during this process there is risk.

Step 1 – Backup using Windows Easy Transfer
-          Click in the Start Button
-          Write down the following in the white box (Search box) Windows Easy Transfer
-          In the list of results, the first option will be Windows Easy Transfer, please click in Windows Easy Transfer icon to continue.

Note – Windows Easy Transfer is available in Windows XP, Vista y 7. In order to acquire the software for Windows XP click the link below to download it.

Step 2 – Insert or run Windows 8 file to being the installation process
-          After the backup process have been completed, run the file (if you download it) or insert the disc to begin the process
-          You will be requested to re-start your PC
-          A loading scree will appear


-          Right after the quick loading screen you will see the well know (Select my language), current currency format and keyboard set up. When you are done with this process, press Next

-          The new Windows will display Install Now
-          Press on it to continue 
-          Agree to the terms and conditions, then Next

-          Select the type of Upgrade
o   Upgrade – This option will generate a folder call Windows. Old, here the system will store all the information from the old operating system
o   Custom (Advance) – This option will not keep any of your old files


From this point on, the system will start the installation process. This can take from 20 to 45 minutes all depends in the performance of the machine.
